Should have been based that way in the first way, it's really just another buyable title that needs ridiculous amounts of time and/or money. They didn't make the keys used before the title have an effect so I really don't care about the lost ones I grinded to get for my R3, if they're afraid people won't use the chest simply make it drop golds more often.

No, you can't possibly change the title in that way at this point. They might be able to get away with adding a new title for it, but the current one really shouldn't be changed to something like this.

The whining would be glorious to behold. And the title would almost be worthy of respect.

(I say almost because obviously no title is actually worthy of respect, but it would be less contemptible than it is now.)

Yeh I know it probably won't happen because anet suck and all, I just wanted to see if anyone else though it's the most stupid title to be introduced, especially when a r12 (there's a few floating around...)zranks his epeen on you. I mean seriously, oh you managed to buy your way somehow to pew pewing me with a spear and other miscellaneous weapons.

While I agree this is the way it should have been from the start, they can't go and change the title now. If they had done it maybe a week into the title, maybe. If they really want a title based on Balth faction, it'd have to be something brand new.

While its a good idea, its WAY to late.
You can't retroactivly take away a title that many people have bought with z-keys for millions of gold.
If a balthazar faction title is introduced, it should be a completely separate title.

Personally i think the Zrank title thing is kinda weak from the start. Im at r8 and i have NO intention of hitting r9. basically the drops have deflated massively and nothing new has been added to the chest.

I think at first the Z chest thing was kinda cool. you could burn some gold get some neat drops, but now its pointless. I think the OP might be on to something. Not sure if thats the answer but its somewhere to start.

That's what the Gladiator and Hero titles are for as technically Balthazar faction titles.
Since those titles do require you to do an immense amount of PvP anyway.
Plus, if they did make it a title based on Balthazar faction, it'd be absolutely ridiculous to reach. Getting max rank would probably require like 20 million faction.
But having a zrank just to show off those silly weapons would be nice I guess, I'm still far from getting the first rank with just using my own keys.

ZRank is broken beyond all repair, it should have been done in a completely different way. For example as I suggested back when it was introduced, that it should be based on all Faction and RPS *you spend* on getting Unlocks, PvP reward items or ZKeys.

But now the title is lost forever, a crappy design, broken in it's very base.

Now a new title or rank based on total amount of gained faction is something completely different, but it would be a great thing I'd really love to see.

A new title maybe, but like many have said, way too late. There's quite a few people who have sunk millions into this title, so changing it now would be epic fail.

The only problem of Z-Rank is that it has an emote. If you introduce a new emote - just do one for PvE from the start!

I don't like the idea of changing any more titles because it stabbed veteran players in the back way too often. And it looks like Linsey realised that because she said there would be no more changes to titles. And thats good.

If there was a new title for Balth faction wouldn't Flames of Balthazar become the next incarnation of zkeys? Or does that not get counted as earned (I've never used one to know)? If so it'd still be based on money and rewards points...

Can't make such huge changes like that to a title that's been around for so long. From the start it would've been nice and even a new title based on that, but changing the zrank title at this point is just a lil silly.
